How to use the LazLight reading and task lamp
by

The LazLight is not a conventional lamp; it’s a serious lighting tool. The light is directional and the gooseneck will allow you to aim the light where you need it; the precision dimmer (never force it) will allow you to adjust the light level to what works best for you at that time. Most people, even those with low vision use the lamp at 50% or less and increase the brightness for reading newspapers with poor contrast to read small print and see colors better (use no more light than you need).

When used as a desk lamp it should be placed in front and to the side of the reading material. If the surface is glossy, aim the head to the side so that the light is at a angle (not straight down) to keep any potential glare out of your eyes.

When used as a computer lamp, never let the light shine onto the screen and try to keep the light level about the same as your screen to minimize eye strain. If your computer screen is in front of a window, keep the blinds or shade down, it will minimize eye strain.

When the lamp is used to read in bed, aim it onto the reading surface from your night stand so that is does not disturb your partner (if you’re lucky).

When used for crafts or collecting you must experiment with both the position, direction and the intensity of light based on what you are using it for.
